I have worked hard in the political field, working on international political research, political organizing experience, and have in depth knowledge of the political field. The reason I know you want to hire me to tutor you is because of my breadth of experience in the political field. I was an intern for Congressman Rick Larsen of the 2nd Washington Congressional District during my last quarter of college at Western Washington University. During that time, I met with Organizing for America, a political organization, who hired and paid me to do work I was already doing in my internship for free. That is how qualified in politics people find me to be. They will pay me for work I was already doing for free. With the support of my boss from the Rick Larsen campaign, I started working for both organizations. I don’t simply have a work ethic about politics because of the money. I work in the political field because of my passion for it. Whether it was promoting Referendum 74 or working hard for a candidate, I made sure that they were best represented by a hard working employee. I also worked on the campaign to stop Washington’s I-1107, which repealed a candy and soda tax, for 3 months. I made strong connections with employees of a nation-wide political organization. On top of that, my senior thesis was on the most effective cost- saving way to run campaign ads. I also taught Chinese students about local Bellingham, WA issues related to coal trains, ports, and jobs. To top it all off, my National Model United Nations team won Outstanding Delegation at the National Model UN in New York. Harvard, Duke, Princeton, and Yale weren’t strong enough to compete on our level. That’s how well I know the political field.
