Education

*Graduated in 2010 with a BA in Language Arts and Elementary Education from Seattle Pacific University (GPA 3.95) *Currently a first year Masters Student in Theology at Whitworth University.

Experience

I originally went to school to become a teacher and am well-versed in communication strategies to help people learn. Though I received a certificate for K-8, I feel supremely confident in tutoring students of any age and learning style. Additionally, I have experience teaching children with moderate to severe learning disabilities. I have always been a good student. I graduated as a Valedictorian from high school and graduated summa cum laude (3.9 or above) from college. I want to be a tutor because I have experience and passion within the teaching field and I very much enjoy the process of learning. Helping a student to succeed or have that "light bulb" moment is incredibly rewarding. I am especially competent in any areas pertaining to reading or writing (elementary through college level). These subjects were a large part of my undergraduate studies and continue to be skill sets that I use often in my graduate course work.
