Whitworth University awarded me with my teaching certificate after I graduated from the Eastern Washington University with my bachelor in applied psychology and master in psychology with an emphasis on school counseling. I have seven years of experience teaching fourth-grave math, social studies, and science subjects. I spent a year teaching second grader, as well as 13 years as a school counselor for elementary and middle school children. I firmly believe that learning is meant to be a lifelong process, exercising our minds and expanding our knowledge. Through compassion and understanding, I guide the students I tutor in improving their skills in psychology, English, and social studies. I excel at working with students who struggle with learning and can identify their learning style to teach in a way that they can best understand. As a tutor, I enjoy working one-on-one with my students to prepare them for any standardized test that may come their way, including the ISEE, SAT, and ACT subject tests. I can provide my students with the support and confidence they need to succeed. I am the parent to a college-age son who plays basketball at his school. I spend much of my free time now playing with my dog, going running, and doing yoga.
