Experience
I have been tutoring college and high school students since 1993, when I started college. I know my way around study skills, standardized testing, and writing. As part of my Applied Psychology degree, I took education and education-related classes such as Human Learning and Introduction to Education. Since I plan on going into community college teaching when I graduate, I spent the majority of my undergraduate degrees tutoring and in teaching internships. In 2008, I completed an internship at Spokane Falls Community College, where I was a full-time teaching assistant. In 2003, as part of my education coursework, I completed an internship in School District 81's Summer Arts program. One of my proudest accomplishments occurred in 2010 - when I took 28 credit hours in one quarter and got straight 4.0's. We have all been there - three-hundred pages of assigned texts and only two hours to read it all. I have study skills down! I can teach you skills to taking tests, writing essays, or reading that you were not aware you needed. As a gargantuan nerd with a good sense of humor, I can help you succeed with subjects you struggle in.
