I am a native fun and dynamic Bolivian tutor with a masters degree in Spanish linguistics and literature. I have been teaching Spanish to college level students as well as tutoring students from all ages and levels of proficiency. I am a strong advocate of teaching the language in a communicative manner rather than having you memorize a bunch rules that you will probably end up forgetting. Having a background in translation and interpretation as well as a linguistic understanding of both English and Spanish, I understand why somethings are harder to learn in spanish when you are an english speaker (e.i.: "ser vs estar", subjunctive, preterite & imperfect, etc). I will help you learn spanish based on your knowledge of your native language, and together we will build and improve your writing and speaking abilities in Spanish! I will also help you understand why Spanish acts the way it does, and I will not just tell you that something is an "exception to the rule", every grammatical and communicative aspect in Spanish has an explanation and I will help you see that. Whether you are Spanish student (beginner or advanced) already or if you are looking to learn Spanish for the first time I'm the person for you.
