I'm currently a Junior Psychology Major at Whitworth University, with a minor in Speech Communication. A Spokane-area local, I graduated from Cheney High School in 2008. During high school I attended college classes at EWU through the Running Start program.
Experience
Tutoring is just a wonderful kind of work! Right now I tutor one 8 yr-old student in English, and teach Sunday School classes at my church.I'm also helping another church develop a plan for a summer day-camp. Working with kids of all ages is a passion for me, including those who are kids-at-heart. I'm available to tutor any age. I tutor because I think knowledge and the ability to learn is a treasured and useful skill. People learn, organize, and work in different styles. My aim is to help you find your style, and figure out how to make it work for you! Standards set by an institution can be a goal to work towards if you need to meet them. I encourage working on homework during sessions, but will not do it for you. Relevant Classes Include: Child development and Developmental Psychology; several psychology and communications classes; and AP and Honors courses in English, History, Sociology, and Economics.
