I'm a passionate tutor whose main goal is to use my experience to help writers enhance their work. I attended both Capital and Purdue Universities and believe my combined education and experience qualify me to critique and guide writers through the various stages of the writing process. My teaching method is to review their work from a professional perspective, then help them to learn the techniques that will enable them to examine, revise, and edit their own projects. My process works regardless of the genre or discipline of the writer. I first meet with a writer to determine his or her professional level. At that point, I work to create a conversational comfort zone that will enable us to work together productively. It's important that I discover the writer's learning style so that I will know the best way to help him or her. My objective is to polish a writer's product and help them gain more confidence and skill so they will emerge as a more polished, skilled, and savvy writer. When I'm not helping writers, I have a variety of pastime activities I enjoy. These include spending time with my kids, gardening, baking, playing video games, watching sports, and crocheting.
