In the course of being a community college instructor I have worked one-on-one with, and helped, numerous students not just learn but successfully understand the complex topics necessary to succeed in the sciences. I have been told that I relate scientific topics to real-world issues and examples that students, not used to the sciences, can relate to making learning about these topics easier.
I enjoy tutoring and sharing my love and knowledge of the sciences with students.
HobbiesI am an avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction. I love spending time hiking, at the lake and snowshoeing with my two labrador retrievers. During the winter, when not snowshoeing, I spend time downhill skiing. During the summer I love all lake activities including boating, swimming, fishing, and just playing with my dogs at the water.
