Private tutor in Spokane, WA
Eastern Washington University - Bachelors, Early Childhood Elementary
After years of tutoring experience, I have learned that the best way to help my students learn difficult concepts is not to simply give them the answers, but to instead ask them a multitude of questions. It is through this teaching method that I am able to ensure that the student is not merely memorizing information, but that they truly understand how this information can be applied to real-life problems. When students understand the concepts, they are able to adapt to questions that constantly change. I hold a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Math from Eastern Washington University. I also hold a Washington state teaching certification. In terms of teaching experience, I have spent many years teaching in a variety of different capacities. One of the most memorable periods of time during my teaching career was the year and a half I spent in South Korea teaching English after graduating from Eastern Washington University. I currently serve as a substitute teacher. My teaching methods and style have given me a great reputation among various schools, making me one of the most in-demand substitute teachers in my school district. My specialty is Math, and I most love to teach Algebra and Geometry, but I am also well-versed in the concepts of Trigonometry and Statistics.
