I have an educational background in Intercultural Communications and English/ESL. My Bachelor of Arts degree is in Intercultural Studies, which I received from Moody Bible Institute. My personal interest lies in English writing and grammar, which are the areas I offer tutoring for. After graduation, I completed my TESOL certification. My passion lies in helping my students to improve not only their skills but also in helping them grow an appreciation for writing and language as it can lead to a creative outlet and is a powerful form of self-expression. I really enjoy helping students from various backgrounds and from all over the world grow confident with the English skills in writing and speaking. I tutored college students from many different backgrounds through my college's writing center. I have experience teaching English to elementary and preschool students in both Swaziland and South Africa. I have also taught online ESL for nearly three years. I enjoy musical production, and theater is another area that I love. I truly enjoy singing, dancing, and acting on stage. I feel like these passions helped me to become a more energetic and creative person. I love to find ways to incorporate that energy and creativity into my tutoring. Learning is fun, it can be challenging, but I enjoy helping students find the joy in learning.
