Education
I recently graduated with a Bachelors in History and History/Social Studies from Whitworth University. I am currently attending Whitworth's Masters in Teaching program, emphasizing in Secondary Education and English Language Learners. I will graduate in June 2017. At Whitworth I was president of the History Club, and I loved organizing club events. I also worked in the History Department as a student assistant, in the University Archives as a student assistant, and in the Whitworth Theater as the House Manager. During my senior year, I interned at the Smithsonian's National Postal Museum in Washington D.C. (and had a blast)!
Experience
I have volunteered and worked in classrooms for 10 year, assisting and leading all levels of school. I love working with kids and helping them succeed! Most recently, I have volunteered in AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) classrooms at Northwood Middle School, and participated in Whitworth's RISE (Reinforcing the Importance of Support in Education) program at North Central High School.
