Private tutor in Spokane, WA
Education
I graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor of Science Degree, and a 3.6 GPA. I was focused in molecular and cell biology but also took courses in Organic Chemistry, Physics, Calculus, Statistics and the social sciences. I graduated from Redmond High School in Redmond Oregon, in 2012 as valedictorian of my graduating class. I am hoping to enter Medical School in the fall of 2018 to pursue my MD in Endocrinology.
Experience
I have experience tutoring 8th grade math as well as Organic Chemistry 1. I took the SATs in 2012 and achieved a combined math reading score of 1260. I was enrolled in AP Calculus and scored a 5 on the AP calculus Test. I was valedictorian of my high school, and entered college with 32 credits of community college credit in Calculus, Biology, and Literature. In college I was placed on the President's List or the Dean's List 7/8 of the semesters I was enrolled at Gonzaga University for outstanding academic achievement. I achieved a B+ and an A in the 2-semester Organic Chemistry series. I have also taken courses in Advanced Cell Biology, Endocrinology, Neurophysiology, Genetics, Ecology, Vertebrate Physiology, Biological Physiology, Advanced Genetics/Epigenetics, Biochemistry, Physics 1 and 2, Statistics, Calculus 3, Bioanalytical Chemistry, and General Chemistry. I am currently studying for the MCAT and therefore have been reviewing science, math and physics information in depth. I love imparting knowledge and helping those who have difficulty initially understanding a topic, and I fervently believe that everyone has the potential to understand challenging information if the right approach to learning is taken. I have spent the last four years perfecting my studying techniques and I would greatly enjoy helping others to gain the same skills to ultimately succeed in their education.

Hobbies
I was born in Monterey California but spent the majority of my life in rural communities in the Willamette Valley and Central Oregon. I rode and trained horses for thirteen years as well as competing in equestrian meets in a variety of disciplines. I also played Volleyball for six years and coached for a number of seasons during that time. After moving to Spokane to begin my undergraduate I began running, biking, and hiking for stress relief and also developed a passion for cooking that has grown over time. I love talking about science topics learned during my time at Gonzaga and I feel that my education is my most valuable asset. I am currently working as a medical scribe for ScribeAmerica at the Providence hospital network in Spokane.
