Education

United States Navy Veteran (K9 Handler,) Attending SCC majoring in Mathematics (3.7 GPA) and will be transferring to Montana Tech to continue onto my bachelors. Attended Running Start for the last 2 years of high school, graduated top 10 in my class with a 3.89 GPA. Was VP of the National Honors Society, Center snare/drum sergeant for Spokane Thunder Drum and Bugle Corps, attended State all 4 years of high school, placed top 5 every year.

Experience

Private tutor for 5 students in percussion for 3 years. Taken up to Calculus I, as well as Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus obtaining a 4.0 GPA. K9 Handler for US Navy for 4 years. I want to be a tutor because I love teaching. I find myself understanding the struggles of those who need help, and have a deep desire to help others because of my own personal struggles. I was diagnosed with severe ADHD, have had it my entire life, and fought the difficulties of it and still do; but through lots of practice and training I am currently an Honors Student and will continue through to Montana Tech.

Hobbies

Crossfit (Level 1 Coach,) Drumming/Percussion, Mathematics (I like to work on problems in my free time.) Sketching, I have done artwork for several years. I also enjoy learning generally. I find purpose in learning something new every single day; and like to hold others to a personal responsibility to make themselves better. I find that developing work ethic is just as important as learning the material. To the parents: I greatly enjoy working with middle/high schoolers, and I like to extend not only lessons on the material but to teach them productivity and the right mindset to develop the best work ethic possible. I deeply believe in Respect and Honor, and I will always put my students first; as I will respect each one of them deeply for the humility to reach out for help.
