Hello, I am available as a tutor for English, Writing/ Composition, English Second Language (ESL), and Humanities/ Social Sciences subject areas. I hold a MA in English with focus in ESL and BA in Anthropology/ Art History. I also have a combined 4 years of teaching at the university and college level as well as 4 years working in assessment and testing in a college setting. I have worked with students from a variety of educational, economic, race, age, and nationality backgrounds. In addition I have experience working in a student support setting to assist student writers with gaining new writing skills through reading and revision on a document-by-document basis. I am especially skilled at assisting students who face unique challenges to succeed as critical-readers and college level writers. I also have experience working with ESL students on reading, conversational English, and navigating life in a second language. I am available to meet in Cheney on weekdays or Spokane any day. I charge $20 an hour with a minimum 3 session commitment per client.
