Experience
I have an extensive background in public health, including a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Saint Louis University, earned in May 2013. I also received a Master of Public Health in Behavioral Sciences and Health Education from the same in May 2014, after completing their accelerated program.My love of education, social justice, and health stems from time I spent traveling in Europe, Latin America, and Africa. I have six years of experience tutoring as both an employee and a volunteer with afterschool programs in St. Louis. I tutored students of varying ages, backgrounds, and levels. My undergraduate minor was Spanish, and I tutored it at the college level when I was a student. I also spent time living in Spain, working with children as a private English teacher and au pair. I have experience tutoring preschool-age children all the way up to juniors in college.My favorite subjects to tutor are math, writing, literature, and Spanish. I am an optimistic and positive person who loves to learn, which I think my students recognize. I tailor my tutoring sessions to the individual student, since everyone learns differently.When I'm not tutoring, I like to ride horses, read, paint, crochet, travel, and spend time outdoors.
